Schedule of Events
Check-in for the Forum takes place
Wednesday afternoon. At 6pm, we will host a cocktail reception,
followed by dinner. Our first presentation is Wednesday evening
after dinner. The following day, Thursday, we have a full day of
speakers, but there is always plenty of time for (and we encourage!)
question and answer sessions with the mixing of ideas in a friendly
atmosphere. Friday's session begins with a speaker and concludes with a
moderated session with an expanded panel. The Forum concludes following
lunch.
Spouses are invited to attend, and there is an abundance of alternative
activities for those not interested in Forum sessions. Please contact
us if we can assist with arrangements for outside activities.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are held in the main dining room where
portions are hearty and the food is always an epicurean delight.
Registration Fees
The cost for the 2012
Contrary Opinion Forum includes all meetings, all materials, all meals,
and two cocktail receptions.
$945 for single attendee
or $1280 for attendee plus spouse. We offer a discount of $45 for
registration before July 1st ($900 for single, $1235 for couple).

that any cancellations after September 15th are subject to a 50%
service charge and no refunds will be made for cancellations after
September 28th.
Accommodations
The lovely and spacious Basin
Harbor Club is located about 6 miles
west of Vergennes and 28 road miles south of Burlington. Most of our
guests find it convenient to stay with us on site.
Accommodations are very
comfortable and there are wonderful views and walks. We ask that you
arrange for your own lodging directly with the Basin Harbor Club
(800-622-4000), but please feel free to contact us with questions, or
for a list of alternative accommodations if you so desire.
Mention that you are with the Forum to receive our negotiated
rates at the resort. Also, note that using the Basin Harbor
Club's website for online reservations will not work - we reserve
blocks of rooms, so it will likely show no rooms available.
Airline service is available direct to Burlington International Airport
(BTV). Driving time is not burdensome and the scenery on approaches
from both New York and Boston is attractive. For any further travel
